Avatar problems...

[Weizy]

I have been trying to locate the small write up on how to use avatars that are hosted on Sony Imagestation, but have been unable to locate it. Anyone know where it is? I have tried searching, but to no avail. My avatars just have not seemed to load all the time even after I have got them into my ms profile.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!

Thx

before they banned me, i used to click on the image in the storage bin and then right click on it when it popped up in a new window...copy location and paste it here...sometimes it didn't work, so i'd upload the image again.

i guess you figured it out though

Re: Avatar problems...

thanks tiddles, my avatar appears to be working at least half of the time now

just upload your avatar to your personal gallery on MS and use it.... simple

This is probably a stupid question, but how do I set an uploaded picture to be my avatar once uploaded? It's uploaded, but I see nowhere that I can hotlink straight to the picture... it's a php script when trying to hotlink it.

*bump*

I'm being ignored.

[Kamal]

just right click on the picture and paste the URL in your offline avatar link

doesn't work. I can't get a hotlink straight to the picture... it's a php script

[Kamal]

did you upload it to your personal gallery ??

I uploaded one to the public gallery and one to the personal gallery... either one shows the php script, and not the picture link. Tried in IE and Firefox

[Kamal]

that's weird.... I know there have been certain members on here that are using the gallery for their avatars.... u might wanna right click on their avatar's and check

no matter how I try it I get one of the following URLs.. and am unable to get the actual picture. Try it yourself.

Pickle: I had the same problem when trying to use a photo from my personal gallery. After talking to some peeps on here I finally gave up and decided just to host it myself and link to it.
