    Re: Old Flyers

Just wanted to bump this thread up, because its a great one and needs more!!!!

I recently pulled out all my flyers, mostly from the New Orleans scene. I have a few from NYC and Houston(thats the recent ones).
I had all of them professionally laminated and they came out real nice. I will take some good pictures and post a few of them soon.

In the meantime, feel free to post more, its great seeing flyers from all over the world.

yea those were the days and yea i was the same, rave and other stuff, i tended to go with the flow back then as a lot of trends were kicking off at the time

off into the toon center to go to 23rd precinct for a 12 ( if you could afford it ) and a bag full of flyers lol, i was gutted to see that place close down, it was a huge part of my early life, basically ( at one point ) the only decent record shop in the whole of strathclyde where you could buy decent music

the tunes might have stood the test of time yea but the production hasn't, i was going through my 12's not so long ago and they sounded shit compared to today's standard, un eq'd and un mastered a lot of the tunes were back in the days

The Orb 1992. where did my life go

Its funny I remember this gig. I hitchhiked to it. I was living in London and I got a lift with these 2 Crusties who where also going to the gig. They told me they would give me a lift back as well.
After the gig one of the Crusties wanted to hit a club so we went to Venue 44 in Mansfield hopping to get in. Obviously there was no way me and 2 Crusties where going to get into Renaissance and we where turned away. Then we drove to Leeds and went to BackToBasic's to try our luck. Surprisingly they where going to let us in, but by this time me and one of the Crusties where to knacked and opted to stay in the car. Looking back now I wish Id gone in as I never made it to BackToBasics or Renaissance at Venue 44. But to be honest I don't think they would of ever let me into Renaissance at Venue 44 anyway.
Dunno if they done this gig in Glasgow aswell?

Rings a bell anyway, primal scream, the orb and the prodigy but those days are a bit blurry!!
