Re: DJ Mag Top 100 DJ's Poll 2009

Holy hell! Only trance in the top 10 I suppose they should really divi up the genres. I'm guessing the majority of EDM fans enjoy trance.

Re: DJ Mag Top 100 DJ's Poll 2009

What makes it worse for me is that Promoter's look at that list and see people in the higher reaches of the chart and book them regardless of anything other than the fact that they know it will be a payday for them.

Re: DJ Mag Top 100 DJ's Poll 2009

I think it's fantastic ... it shows how worthless it is !!!

The problem is that it's not voted for by people that buy DJ Mag and are deadly serious about their music .. if there was an entry form in the magazine that you had to return it would be more credible (and support lesser known artists) as many people buy it for record reviews.

Aside from the DJ's that I'd like to see just look at Sven Vath (down to 4 ... yet runs an amazing label (Cocoon) and one of the best club nights out there. He's just ahead of new entries "Tydi" and "Kaskade" .... Vath is a legend yet this is the recognition he gets FFS.

I assume DJ mag are very very embarassed to the point where this just needs to stop or be voted for just by the DJ's themselves !

excellent point

ms should have its annual voting thing too

Deep Dish ? I don't think they have performed together this year

Wise observation..

Re: DJ Mag Top 100 DJ's Poll 2009

if they put the djs in catagories that wood be much better

I'm not sure it's possible to do that, because nowadays everybody plays everything.
Sometimes just the bpm is the difference.
