of course i do understand the pressure on the legends and what make me forget that he don't react with the crowed is the awesome tunes throwed from his decks, but i think it's kinda easy to give a look from time to time and send some smiles at least, and yes am not going to the event to watch the dj am going to listen to the music watch the crowed but also i want to feel that the dj is happy with the crowed , coz it let me feel that the guy is really doing his best with the tunes , not doing a certain job and will leave .Leave a comment:

Btw I don't go to watch the Dj, but I do , the same as I watch people around me dancing. It's all part of the experience. Although sometimes I just close my eyes

yeah definitelty - think that's what i like about Danny Howells
It's obvious he's enjoying himself but the performance is still flawless
Be sure that all of the top guns know exactly what's happening on that dance floor, i guess some "interact" more than others.
I'm bemused y the fact that people go to a club and watch the dj though.

Very true !! But it's still possible to have reasonable crowd reaction and you can certainly move and mix I love that Hernan keeps looking around the crowd checking how we are reacting I don't really want them leaping around though, just getting into the music !!

I think maybe you can't have it all ways. The likes of John Digweed, Sasha, Hernan etc mix records together better than any mere mortal and that requires a degree of concentration, however talented they are. If they were jumping up and down on top of the speakers then slamming records in at the last minute, people would be on here commenting on how crap their mixing technique is. Which would you prefer?
Also, people enjoy music in their own way anyhow and the guy stood at the side of the dancefloor nodding his head can be feeling it just as much as the people bouncing up and down imo.
Imagine being mr Digweed - when you touch that mixer, thousands of people are listening to the results so the pressure is there to get it right every time and he does, and has done for years - that's what he's good at, not waving his arms about.Leave a comment:

^^^ + Nick Warren, actually Nick regularly gives us great sets without any voiceovers Jody really reacts with crowd!! Well actually I don't see that is a good thing.! I want any Dj I see to be enjoying the music as much as I am !! I want to believe they are there because they love the music. Although they don't have to be flamboyant about itWell with no offense to any of the English ppl over here , but with my experience with working with many English Djs ... Jody Wisternoff , Jim Rivers , Nic Fanciuli ... all these guys are really business men they are really serious with the business stuff , which lead to playing a lot of tracks that promotes to their albums or friends albums ,so imagine Digweed while he have a big valut and he is one of the biggest promoters to 90% of the new tracks and play the best of 'em on his live gigs , plus from diggers point of view that you can listen to him playing every week despite Cattaneo who play from time to time, and throw you a 10 hour set from a year ago , and he know that you will be more than happy with it because he know that it was one of his best.
The music scene dude has gone from just a music creativity competition to another business field that many ppl want to get involved .
You say that Cattaneo give MS some exclusive stuff thats too cool for the website , but can you count how many 2009 sets has been posted for cattaneo this year and how many 2008 ...... compare it to the diggers who have posted almost the same number of LIVE GIGs on his show with a plus from him his weekly show .
in the end why did i mention the English specifically , because they are the most professional business men I've ever worked with , i give em a clap for sorting their business and separate it from their fun life , these guys are really great and funny but when it comes to work , they are strictly serious and won't allow any body to have fun while they are working , attend a live gig to any of these guys and you will see that they don't react with the crowd specially Digweed
The thing that both Hernan and Digweed do is control their available sets. I really appreciate that because we know we get the sets they consider the best. Remember Hernan did the weekly thing for years as well, and only stopped because the radio station did. Basically though it's still the quality of the work rather than quantity. I have most of Hernan's stuff from the last 2 years on my ipod and played regularly. [I need a bigger ipod ]
Btw I doubt Hernan ever takes it for granted that we will be grateful , he hopes we will be happy That is what he cares about the most.
