Wonder if they will honor the lifetime account holders from the previous incarnation?

Megaupload now redirects to a Department of "JUSTICE" URL: http://usdoj.s3-website-us-east-1.amazonaws.com/

Racketeering and money laundering? Those are a few of the fraudulent GOV's favorite pastimes.

Every magazine covermount cd I posted was a megaupload link. Really sucks, especially for the users not using megaupload for illegal filesharing.

Megaupload is now on a server that has no domain name but has the addresshttp://109.236.83.66. According to the website www.urlquery.net, the Megaupload's new server is based in the Netherlands.

Overnight supporters for the site hosted the remnants of Megaupload at
www.Megavideo.bz indicating that content was being hosted in Belize.

Soundcloud has had content filters for some time, they probably mean they will filter even more. That usually applies to mainstream artists or "indie" people like Bon Iver and similar, though. I think Mixcloud is going to add the dl option soon but they look even more mainstream-oriented, we're talking about tapes from the '90s. And its interface is still really messy. SC is easy to manage, for me and my needs is still the best option.

Mixcloud is good but I don't think they have a download function. The only decent package on SoundCloud that meets all the needs is £420 or €500 I think I will look to see what happens in the next few days and decide what direction to take. If I go down the SoundCloud route I mite see if anyone here wants to donate to it and see how it works out. I think idealy it would need 8 people all willing to put about £50 in.

Yeah I got no problem taking some time to re-up a bunch of stuff. Fabric8 sent me one of his old hard drives so between his stuff and mine I'd enjoy giving back what was so freely given to me here @ms
