Yep, it was bound to happen sooner or later- for all of us North of Albany / Boston, we join the ranks of other Americans who have found themselves in similiar situations- without power in the nastiest of conditions. Already today, we have gotten a 1/2" of ice and they are calling for that to double. Power is already out on the southwest side of town (Saratoga), and probably only a matter of time before it goes here. On my way back from lunch, city crews were taking down a huge sagging tree at the busiest corner here in town. It a mess around here.

Ice storms are the worse. Hell with driving, walking, cold, wet, no power, trees falling ... cold hell I tell you ... cold hell. Be safe out there buddy.

apparently houston is getting ice/sleet falling...its gonna be a nightmare there, cause its not like anyone is used to driving in those conditions in texas.

not so nice here in toronto either we are getting it pretty badfre plus now we are going to get snow and its cold as hell now to first storm of the year for us oh well what can you do i just take in stride.

just rain here too mostly...although winter has finally hit relatively speaking as it'll be in the upper 20's most of the week, and some lows near 0...with windchills below it.

Oh well; spring is only about 2 months away

I luckily made it through without losing power for an extended amount of time. There are still 30,000 people without power here in Saratoga county. What a bitch.

Damn, thats hardcore. Last year, a huge windstorm came through and knocked out power to the capital region for about two and a half days. It was in the middle of February, cold as shit- we roughed it the first night, got a hotel room the second night about 45 minutes away. How did you make it through? Cant open the fridge, otherwise the food might go bad, cant see at night, cold as shit. Grrrrr, I feel for you Jenks.
