Re: anyone see the kid from the john kerry event yet?
Actually, right now I think you don't get it.
But ok...maybe I really don't get it, so enlighten me. What would you have preferred the cops do in that situation?

Re: anyone see the kid from the john kerry event yet?
sigh...all you bleeding hearts are so quick to cry over a guy who was obviously out of line and then proceeded to fight with the police. It's really rather strange to me.You just don't get it do you.?? It doesn't matter what he was like . I certainly didn't think he was asking an innocent question and he was undoubtedly an attention whore . It's the cops behavoir that is the issue here.
Oh, and btw, he certainly got that attention didn't he??. As rinningman said could have been handled so much better.
I don't know about your part of the world, but in the USA when police officers exercise their ability to arrest someone it is not optional for that person to comply - it is a requirement.
And by the way, if it had been one cop and he would have instead had to do things like tackle the kid, put him in a headlock, and slap him around a bit in order to get him under control and cuff him....would that really have made you happier?Leave a comment:

1. Here's some info about the guy...note the story he wrote about hecking Ken Griffey, Jr. at a baseball game...sound familiar?
Webs.com has been shut down on the 31st of August 2023. Find out what that means for your site and how to move it to another provider.
2. Supposedly, a lot more occurred BEFORE the video you saw. It's reported by eyewitnesses that Mr. Meyer rudely "hijacked" the forum by sneaking his way to a mic after the last question had already been announced (something about Israel). Meyer interrupted the question and started yelling at Kerry that he needed to stay and answer all of his questions, that it's not fair, etc. Cops are all over him ready to take him out, but Kerry insists they let him stay and says he will humor him. Kerry answers the other guy's question and then turns to Meyer. THIS is supposedly where the first video starts.
Additional Info
Now, I don't really know if this is all true or not. If it is, two things can be concluded:
1. Whoever edited that first video to make it look like Meyer was legitimately and innocently asking a question pulled a real cute stunt.
2. Andrew Meyer's behavior seems to demonstrate that he is an immature attention whore whose idea of fun is to act like a cock in public.
I'm done now.

^^^ So true!! Being the biggest fucking idiot in the world doesn't warrant what he got. !! That was disgusting !! They just kept on with the tazers!!! Some woman was saying do it!! do it!! And what do we have here???? Mouthing off about what freedom of speech means!! We are talking about totally unnecessary physical violence to a fellow human being.!! If five police couldn't subdue someone who was obviously putting on an act for the cameras they should get new jobs.!! And hopefully they will have to!!

let the cover up begin... you can't buzz somebody over this.. we don't know enough about the tazer to say that it is non-lethal.. the cops are using it to much IMO.. it should be brought out at the last resort not because you don't put your hands behind your back right away.. you also have to tell someone why you are arresting them.. He was harmless and Kerry could have diffused the situation with his answer. There are better ways to handle situations then always by force.. Especially not a tazer..Leave a comment:

Update... looks like you guys aren't the only ones who thought it was excessive.
At least they're on leave, with pay...

I dont think that it was excessive that he was removed coz he wasnt having a balanced debate, he was ranting. Even if Kerry was saying he wants to answer the question its not the way to do things in that environment.
However, the tazer was totally unecessary imo.
V funny though..

I agree completely.OK I can't resist...
Said it before and will say it again: "Freedom of Speech" doesn't mean you can say or act in whatever you want in any public or private setting without consequence. That is perhaps the biggest misnomer of the average poorly informed American citizen.
The guy wasn't there to "just ask a question". He was there to be an obnoxious douche and start some shit. Cops and tasing aside, his behavior was inappropriate and embarrassing.
Second, what the guy said to Kerry and what then happened when he struggled with police are two separate events. It's like when you're driving and a highway patrol officer gets behind you, turns on the lights, and requests that you pull over. It doesn't matter at that point if they were right or wrong or how you feel about it - there are other forums for dealing with that subsequently. It's your responsibility to comply with the officer and pull over RIGHT THEN. If you keep going, then you've got a whole other violation on your hands, irrespective of the original reason the cop originally tried to pull you over.
Same thing here. Kid didn't comply with the officers and clearly fought them even up to the point where they're trying to put handcuffs on him - you can see him even when he's down on the ground trying to separate his hands and yelling for the cops to get off him. It was his responsibility to comply, he didn't, they got physical on him.
If I was a cop and he fought me while I was trying to arrest him, I'd tase his dumb ass too.
Excessive force...?
They tried to walk him out of there... he resisted.
They tried to cuff him... he resisted
IMO they had every right to taze him. They deal with idiots, every day. I'm not saying this guy's an idiot but I'd be sick of dealing with people like this too.
Sure he has a right to answer a question, however, ask it appropriately. He was obviously trying to make a scene regardless if he had a great question to ask.
Besides, it even says above the video, that he stole the mic.
He knew he had it coming way before they even grabbed him.Leave a comment:

kerry can actually be heard saying that he wants to answer the damn question. freedom of speech or not, the guy wasnt a threat to the cops. the guy was already under control and they had him subdued when he was tasered so it was excessive use of force imoLeave a comment:

^^^ i agree.. it was a bit over board. so the KID was asking a question, who cares.. humour him and move on. Youre a big politician, if you cant handle a college student, how are you supposed ot handle a fucking country.
A group of ego driven "campus cops" looking to get their 15 minutes. RidiculousLeave a comment:
