OK being that last night was my first experience with JD and the vortex. I can say honestly it was fucking awesome. He played some extremely dark stuff last night. Including this one track that was pretty much just drums and this low pitched voice just saying things I couldn't understand. I MUST GET THAT TRACK!!!!!

The one vortex that will stand out above ALL others I've experineced was at the Palace for that marathon NYE set he did. Newland has seen John more times than anyone I'll ever meet and he agreed that was the most mindfucking experience we'd heard in our lives. The man switched on at 3 or 4 and I lost all track of time and space. I had never heard a dj do that before. I think he ended at 10AM, I can't recall.

Yeah that's what I don't get man. How the fuck can that guy look so sober and blase while he is absolutely tearing up a place and fucking everyone up?! I mean, WTF, how does his mind get into that zone to mix like all these tracks in a manner that's just right for fucking people up?! How does his mind work man. If this guy wasn't a DJ he'll be orchestrating a riot somewhere.
