As we stand on the eve of 2005...

That is an awesome idea. Especially b/c I might be in the UK for grad school next year. Also the t-shirt idea is a great idea, I'd sport that shirt with so much pride.

I think this idea is a real go-er.

If we could get a spot at WMC or a tent at a European festival then if we pitched it right we could have the services of at lest four A list DJ's.
I've sure anyone from Danny H to John Digweed would glad spin for us if approached. Also need somewhere with some liberal attitudes, so my vote would deffo go with the the 'Dam. Easy for the UK and europe peeps, and a Treat for our yankie cousins.

You know it makes sense.

I would not be able to make it to a Euorpe event...but a stateside one would be awesome-o!

I veto FL just cuz they already have the WMC down there, somewhere else would seem better just on that fact.

[buckman]

Yeah i agree with the stateside comment.say nyc maybe

NO!

[DreamGirlie]

Sorry! Its true though, there is so many wonderful parts of the country why waste another music event on FL

[Steve Graham]

i agree, i was/am being proactive

[Localizer]

iowa man. no one ever goes there lol.

Re: As we stand on the eve of 2005...

I agree, I don't want to go to FL either. And I definitely can't afford to go to Europe.

[Jibgolly]

iowa? sounds eeery, but might be ok. there's gotta be plenty of fields in that state to have a good old fashioned all-night-music-pow-wow.

I drove 6 hours to go to a party in Des Moines a few years ago.. it was in an old stripped slaughterhouse, way out in the middle of some dude's ranch. The dj booth was inside the slaughterhouse in a grain silo that was tipped on its side, turned into an airplane with crazy wings & shit. Pimpin. It might win my "most secluded party" award.

I drove to a party in South Dakota few years ago that probably gets second place... that place sucks. I recommend staying far from Souix Falls, or anywhere near South Dakota.

Re: As we stand on the eve of 2005...

How 'bout Winconsin! I know Iowa and its no different than Missouri, Illinois, Kansas and Ohio.. fuck you mioght as well drive to Chicago. Wisconsin seems different, but Kenosha is cool and there is usually a nice country club somewhere in the middle of nowhere that will make for a nice size venue. But seriously we should be thinking about a central location eazy for all of us to get to.

BTW Merry Christmas!

[chato]

id probably would not make it but... i think that the US is a good choice cause lots of members are US citizens and also hotels, booze, food and other expenses are cheaper than europe if im not mistaken

[chato]

btw an awesome idea encryption!

[ubiqe]

do I wanna host it at the WMC ?? possibly not ?? I have too long a list of reasons.... but the biggest one for me is that I dont wanna prositute this event..... it's gonna be [ms]'s FIRST EVER get together and I wanna make it exclusive.... just like access to the downloads page or even more difficult like getting your show ONTO it.....

Well, unless you want a men only party, you will need to make it slightly less [ms] exclusive... :ROFLMAO:
