Extremely impressive mixed CD from John Digweed, one of the pioneers of progressive house and one-half of the Sasha & Digweed DJ tag-team that’s ruled the roost in the genre for a good ten-plus years now. With 'Fabric20' however, he shys away from what you might call the more obvious prog sound that you might find in one of the Renaissance mix CDs, opting instead for a house sound which edges into solid European techno. His recent DJ sets have reflected this fascination with the classic minimal-but-thumping techno sound, the last few hours of a Digweed set in the main room at Fabric are dubbed "the vortex" by clubbers on the Global Underground discussion board.

the pic is facing the booth ya. and it did come out you can just barely in the top right see a bit of the red light efx. pretty sure the whole room went dark for a second at a drop and thus this pic. its pretty funny none the less.

That's different ... vortex happens during the set, anywhere from 3rd or 4th hour onwards ... there's only wreckage left at the end of his sets.
